About Toronto Association of Systems and Software Quality

A

We're dedicated to you.

Overview:

The Toronto Association of Systems and Software Quality (TASSQ) was established in 1993 as an organization for Quality Assurance professionals. Our attendees include anyone who has an interest in software quality, or software testing, whether they work for a large corporation, a small software house, or whether they are independent consultants.

What We Do:

TASSQ holds monthly meetings involving a presentation by a professional in the software quality or testing industry. The purpose of the meetings is to share quality practices and to provide an opportunity for networking. To date, the presentations have included a wide variety of topics including software testing, project management, risk management, software testing and quality metrics, process improvement, implementing quality practices, latest trends, etc. Meetings range in size from 45 to 200 attendees and meetings occur the last Tuesday of the month, running from January to June, and September to November inclusive. At the meetings, there is an "Info Table" where anyone can displayitems of interest to the QA community. Materials displayed may include QA job openings, vendor materials, available courses, and upcoming conferences. Occasionally, some courses are offered to TASSQ members at a discount. TASSQ also offers a Job Board. Employer submissions are accepted (for a fee) and placed on the TASSQ website. Job seekers visit the site to search for industry specific positions.
