You can insert lr_output_message functions by using VuGen. For example, if you
are recording database actions, you could insert a message to indicate the first
query, "This is the first query."
To insert an lr_output_message function:

Choose Insert > Message. The Insert Message dialog box opens.

Type the message into the Message box.

Click OK to insert the message and close the dialog box. An lr_output_message
function is inserted at the current point in the script.
