If a connection succeeds, the status changes to
Ready
, and the actual platform
name appears in the Platform box, such as WIN95, WINNT, SUNOS, etc.
UNIX Shell
For UNIX Vusers, make sure that the NT Controller can execute a remote shell
command. Type the following at the DOS command prompt: rsh
hostname
/bin/ls. If
you get a message indicating that permission is denied, make sure the .
rhosts
file
in your UNIX home directory is set up correctly.
