About Resource Monitoring
A primary factor in a transaction's response time is its resource usage. By
monitoring resources during a scenario run, you can determine why a bottleneck
occurred on a particular machine. LoadRunner's Resource monitor lets you keep
track of resources used during a scenario. You activate the desired monitors on the
server machine before the scenario run. During test execution, LoadRunner
displays the resource monitors in realtime.
You can instruct LoadRunner to automatically start the Resource monitor at the
start of a scenario run. You set this option in the Monitoring Options dialog box from
the Monitor menu.
