Software QA Engineer

Uses automated software testing knowledge associated with undergraduate degree or equivalent experience ·A minimum of 3 years quality assurance experience in a commercial software development environment ·Has knowledge/expertise on a broad range of our tools and procedures ·Understands relationships among and across areas ·Identifies, tracks and follows through to ensure bugs are corrected Creativity ·Designs and develops moderately complex component tests of our-wide products ·Modifies and updates test plans and automation tools to reflect revisions of specification ·Solves complex problems; uses research, analysis and our expertise to develop creative/innovative solutions ·Conducts manual testing Business Skills ·Understands own team’s strategy and objectives ·Able to serve as a Project Lead on small scope projects ·Makes decisions regarding own work; makes recommendations in regard to department ·Keeps up-to-date on QA training and methodologies ·Interacts internally/externally on a daily basis to achieve department/work unit goals and initiatives Personal Performance and our Valued Behaviors ·Articulates opinions on technical related matters ·Demonstrates our’s vision, values, and principles ·Displays attitude of understanding and tolerance for other’s beliefs and opinions by being diplomatic ·Mentors Associate QA Engineers ·Effectively changes and meets deadlines as they evolve ·Observes quality standards ·Conveys fundamental aspects of job through verbal and written communications ·Self-sufficient - seldom requires guidance
