Software QA Engineer

Responsibilities:

* Review designs and functional specifications to develop detailed test plans * Write test plans, write and execute test cases both manual and automated * Report status on progress and escalate issues as appropriate * Perform Black Box, Grey Box and White Box testing. * Participate in release management activities * Monitor production issues * Identify bug trends and drive resolution

Requirements:

* At least 4-6 years of testing and quality assurance experience of web software technologies * Experience in QA methodologies: process, test planning, test case development, testing techniques * Experience in test automation and competent programming in Ruby, Python, Java or Perl * Experience in designing and developing test strategies and harnesses for enterprise class high performance, high availability software systems where functionality is delivered through the web-browser * A self-starter attitude and the ability to work well with limited supervision. * Good understanding of Web architecture and technologies * Excellent problem solving and communication skills * Experience with TCP/IP, Apache, Linux, Shell scripting, XML, HTML, JavaScript * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. A Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is strongly preferred
