Quality Assurance Engineer
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Perform physical and performance testing on products using a variety of instrumentation using such tools as a T-Peel test, ESCR test, and Tensile test.
* Perform engineering analysis and provide solutions to issues in assigned manufacturing departments.
* Troubleshoot field performance problems using Root Cause and Comparative Analysis methodologies.
* Conduct product and system audits to evaluate and improve products and processes.
* Perform design of experiments (DOE) to evaluate and improve products and processes.
* Support major plant-wide quality initiatives such as AIB, HACCP, Gauge Calibration, etc.
* Write, create, and revise testing procedures used by manufacturing and support departments.
* Interact with members of various departments to improve the quality systems.
* Support product development through testing and analysis.
* Engage all customer complaints (internal and external) to provide outstanding solutions.
* Create quality specifications and test methodologies for new and existing products.
* Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
* This position may supervise the activities of one or two Quality Assurance Technicians.

Job Requirements * A Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a college or university in the fields of Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is required.
* A minimum of five years experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of plastics, extrusion, injection molding, or packaging required.
* Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is required.
* ASQ Certified Quality Engineer is preferred.
