SENIOR TEST ENGINEER
The Senior Test Engineer develops, implements, and maintains test fixtures and
software and manufacturing test equipment for printed circuit boards, box and
computerized functional test fixtures for testing components,
electro-mechanical, hydro-pneumatic,optic subassemblies, and final products.
Interfacing as appropriate with Engineering, Development, Quality,
Manufacturing, Field Service, Purchasing, and suppliers, the incumbent ensures
testability and manufacturability of new products, coordinates the release of
new and enhancements to existing products, develops manufacturing test
procedures and work instructions, creates, updates and ensures test documents
are in compliance with company standards, (ISO and GMP) as required, provides
technical support and leadership to the manufacturing organization for quality
improvement activities, and develops process validation/verification
ocumentation for new and existing test fixtures and equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Investigates and provides timely resolution to manufacturing test equipment
impacting manufacturing line quality, yield, efficiency, or output.
• Ensures manufacturing test procedures are created, updated and in compliance
with company standards, ISO and GMP as required.
• Identifies and provides enhancements to test equipment to support existing or
new manufacturing operations.
• Under minimum supervision, will initiate or implement changes to existing test
equipment to support improvements in cost, methods, quality, or to address
material support/obsolescence issues. This includes test and validation activity
and updating equipment documentation and manufacturing work instructions in
compliance with company standards.
• Supports investigation and resolution of customer quality issues.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in design and support of complex manufacturing
test equipment; both custom analog and digital circuits and PC based systems.
• Proficient in using oscilloscopes, data analyzers, and other electronic
debugging equipment
• Knowledgable in PCB layout design and procurement.
• Some software knowledge, Assembly language, C++
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Strong PC Skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
