Quality Assurance Engineer

* Design and implement methods and procedures on supplier performance to ensure suppliers meet and maintain expected quality levels.

* Investigate trend problems and issue timely corrective action requests to suppliers to resolve discrepant material issues and determine root cause.

* Develop supplier relationships to ensure supply chain objectives.

* Perform and/or participate in source qualification by performing quality management system surveys and special process surveys.

* Perform first article inspections (Physical and functional), initial source inspections and witness testing at supplier facilities ensuring procured product meets drawings, specifications, processes and requirements.

* Assist receiving inspection in resolving inspection and documentation issues.

* Work with procurement, program management, program quality, engineering, manufacturing, reliability, and inspection staff to resolve issues with discrepant supplier material

Candidate must have:

* Proficiency with MS software in Windows environment.

* Familiarity with ERP system to support the daily requirements of the department.

* Minimum education level is Associates Degree or combination of technical training and QA experience.

* Familiarity with Report Wizard or ODBD to collect data and make reports.

* A minimum of 5 years in electronics manufacturing QA position.
