QA Analyst/Systems Administrator

Responsibilities Include:

• Planning and executing recurring system maintenance tasks, including the application of Enterprise EHR software installation, updates, and patches. • Maintain and deploy VMWare Images to QA servers. • Provisioning and testing of new systems, features and services. • Managing, monitoring and maintaining servers, and other devices that are used by Software Quality Assurance for developing, testing and delivering software products. • Maintain relationships with 3rd party vendors and responsible for testing 3rd party software and hardware devices integrated/interfaced with Allscripts applications. • Define and execute software installation and upgrade test plans. • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation for installation, support and instructions. • Performs QC analyst functions as needed or requested. • Develops, implements, and publishes Systems Environment Specification documents. • Creates and publishes device certification test reports and roadmap documents. • Works closely with Software Quality Analysts providing cooperative support • Participate in project related meetings and/or communications. • May require evening or weekend hours as needed. • May require travel as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience/Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field. Technical degree strongly preferred. • 3+ years experience working with Windows Server Systems. • 3+ years related experience with a strong knowledge of network-related hardware/software, related peripherals, practices, policies, and procedures. • Must have at 3+ years of system administration experience on Microsoft Windows Operating System platforms. • Experience with Intel hardware and peripheral installation, maintenance and software packaging. • Familiarity with VMWare (ESX) is also highly desirable. • Working knowledge of Software Quality Assurance practices, testing procedures, and software development life cycle is preferred. • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities. • Strong customer service skills, strong interpersonal skills, excellent time management skills, strong documentation skills, advanced technical skills.
