QA Analyst/Systems Administrator
Responsibilities Include:
Planning and executing recurring system maintenance tasks, including the application of Enterprise EHR software installation, updates, and patches.
Maintain and deploy VMWare Images to QA servers.
Provisioning and testing of new systems, features and services.
Managing, monitoring and maintaining servers, and other devices that are used by Software Quality Assurance for developing, testing and delivering software products.
Maintain relationships with 3rd party vendors and responsible for testing 3rd party software and hardware devices integrated/interfaced with Allscripts applications.
Define and execute software installation and upgrade test plans.
Assist in the preparation of technical documentation for installation, support and instructions.
Performs QC analyst functions as needed or requested.
Develops, implements, and publishes Systems Environment Specification documents.
Creates and publishes device certification test reports and roadmap documents.
Works closely with Software Quality Analysts providing cooperative support
Participate in project related meetings and/or communications.
May require evening or weekend hours as needed.
May require travel as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience/Education Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in related field. Technical degree strongly preferred.
3+ years experience working with Windows Server Systems.
3+ years related experience with a strong knowledge of network-related hardware/software, related peripherals, practices, policies, and procedures.
Must have at 3+ years of system administration experience on Microsoft Windows Operating System platforms.
Experience with Intel hardware and peripheral installation, maintenance and software packaging.
Familiarity with VMWare (ESX) is also highly desirable.
Working knowledge of Software Quality Assurance practices, testing procedures, and software development life cycle is preferred.
Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong customer service skills, strong interpersonal skills, excellent time management skills, strong documentation skills, advanced technical skills.
