SENIOR SYSTEMS QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER

This position offers an excellent opportunity for the candidate who thrives in the flexible and informal environment of a small company.

The Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer will:

*

Develop software test strategies, write software verification test plans and protocols and execute test protocols for products. *

Write test result reports, track progress, and supervise other SQA engineers as required. *

Manage and maintain the Software Configuration Control Server housing all source code for products and their subsystems. *

Manage software defect capture, tracking, prioritization and resolution of software defects. *

Write policy and procedures for Software Configuration Control and release processes, in collaboration with the Software Development Group. *

Work with software and hardware development engineers and others to automate verification where possible and to provide appropriate output or software hooks to aid or streamline verification. *

Become expert in software and act as a resource to other departments in the features, functionality and troubleshooting of software. *

Ensure that safety requirements are implemented and tested.

The successful applicant must have:

*

BS or MS in Science or Engineering with 3+ years experience validating Software *

Experience with Software Configuration Control tools such as PVCS *

Familiar with software development environments and software test tools *

Excellent leadership skills *

Strong written and verbal communication skills

These additional qualifications are a plus:

*

Electrical or electro-mechanical background. *

Comfort with software development within the scientific domain (math, physics, and cell biology) *

Experience with .NET-based Windows development in C#
