Software QA Engineer

In this role, the selected candidate will:

* Continue developing our automated test harness for regression on Firmware, Hardware and Software * Develop, Review and improve existing test plans to improve functional coverage, gaps in prior testing and regressions * Execute manual testing on applications to understand what must be automated * Track and communicate testing/development status * Partner with Engineering to plan for new functionality, resolve defects, and incorporate fault isolation test methodologies for automation.

Qualifications

* Independent, hard working, creative, focused, and organized * 3+ years of experience scripting with Perl, Perl Object understanding * The ability to learn a new languages/API's if needed * Good understanding of the software development process, software design, data flow and bottlenecks * Flexibility to work on multiple project streams simultaneously * Excellent verbal and written communications skills * Automation Framework development * Distributed applications, client/server, RMI * Familiarity with Open-source Software & Tools

Highly Desired Skills:

* Experience in the NAS/SAN Storage Environment * Five or more years working in automation * Expertise in networking or storage across multiple operating systems, including Windows and various UNIX/Linux based platforms * QA Background * Background with OO design principles * Shell programming, VB script, WMI, UNIX shells * Python, and/or C programming.
