Quality Assurance Technician

Maintain database & associated files of equipment, including associated forms, equipment maintenance, malfunctions and calibration records. Create and verify compliance of calibration, verification and maintenance schedule. Verify equipment conformance to required tolerances, after each verification. Work with Calibration and Maintenance suppliers to schedule and manage outsourced maintenance and calibration program. Responsible for Reference Standards and their proper storage, calibration and maintenance. Create and Update verification protocols based on existing equipment manuals.

Administrative:

Generate various local and regional quality and process performance reports, statistical data compilations, charts, tables and graphs, as required. Track and maintain training records for the location. Assist with the maintenance of the Document Control System, consisting of local controlled documents and external controlled documents Assist in the update, maintenance and distribution of procedures, work instructions, test methods, program manuals, and forms, as applicable. Update forms and checklists files, procedures, work instruction books and program manuals as updates occur – removing & discarding old revisions – maintain appropriate archives Provide administrative support to manage correlation studies and proficiency testing programs. Adhere to the requirements of the BV-CPS Quality System and assist with the implementation and maintenance of the quality system. Maintain the Quality Library for the Taunton facility. Act as back up for certain responsibilities, when Quality Engineer is absent. Other duties as defined by Supervisor, departmental needs and workload.

Requirements Required Skills Ability to analyze, process and understand technical data relating to equipment, its calibration and maintenance Proficiency in Word and Excel, Power Point. Ability to learn and utilize software programs. Ability to work independently and handle confidential information Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines Technical writing skills and proofing documents Ability to work in a support role within a team Strong administrative and organizational skills. Detail oriented, organized, focused and have the ability to perform multiple tasks. Demonstrate effective written and verbal communications skills.

Required Experience Minimum 2 year degree plus 2 years experience preferred or 5 years minimum experience Experience working in an ISO 9001:2000 or similar Quality System required.
