Software Quality Assurance and Product Delivery
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
This individual will be a Strong Leader with knowledge and experience in implementing world class quality processes and will:
* Manage the Quality Assurance team, Release Engineering, and Documentation.
* Oversee the development and execution of test strategy and test plans that define test coverage and criteria for release.
* Provide continuous assessment of release readiness and steps required to achieve it.
* Oversee strategy and execution of automation of release engineering and QA processes.
* Ensure common QA practices across the engineering organization that supports the use of Agile methodologies.
* Ensure outstanding communication across the organization regarding standards, methodology, and process.
* Execute a well-planned launch of process change and improvement.
* Assess tools and plan implementation of new tools as appropriate.
* Empower team members to achieve their best through collaboration and a pride in achieving common goals.
* Foster individual career development and high morale.
* Manage the day to day operational issues including but not limited to recruiting, performance management, and employee relations.
Required Skills/Experience:
* 5+ years managing quality assurance teams required; experience managing software development a plus
* Solid understanding of software development life cycles, and Agile Methodology
* Experience testing and deploying enterprise and hosted applications
* Experience with automated testing, automated issue tracking, testing techniques
* Experience building quality and release engineering infrastructure including the use of virtual machines
* Experience with source control and release management processes
* Project management/leadership with a track record of creating and executing complex project plans
* Demonstrated ability to successfully manage day to day operational issues including recruiting, performance management, disciplinary issues and employee relations
* Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire others to achieve success
* Experience delivering process improvement in an organization
* Knowledge of enterprise scale applications running in critical environments requiring unparalleled performance and stability
* Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational and time management skills, and strong oral and written communication skills
* Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to drive change through influence
* Bachelors’ Degree
* 8 – 10+ years of industry experience
