QA Engineer

Job Detail and Responsibilities: • Lead, plan, schedule, and test multiple projects • Provide technical leadership and assign tasks to offshore staff • Review requirements documents and functional specifications to determine test requirements for new products, ensuring thorough coverage • Write test plan and test cases • Gather and analyze QA metrics, track and report on test progress and product release readiness • Perform hands-on testing, including: • Integration, functional, stress, and compatibility testing of handheld- and web-based products • Synchronization functionality of handheld devices (Palm, PPC, Smartphone, iPhone, BlackBerry) on Windows and Macintosh desktops • Develop and manage QA project schedules and coordinate releases • Requires occasional work outside of traditional business hours

Qualifications: • 5+ years experience in Quality Assurance • Experience leading a test project and supervising a team of software testers from planning to release; personnel management not required • Experience with hands-on testing of Web applications • Experience in testing and release on multiple platforms with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet aggressive deadlines • Excellent organization and interpersonal skills • Ability to develop a clear and concise testing strategy • Working knowledge of SQL is desirable • Strong verbal and written communication – must be able to communicate ideas clearly and unambiguously • Motivated and assertive in learning and taking ownership of projects • Experience with hands-on testing of handheld devices is highly desirable but not required

Education • BS or above in Computer Science or related Engineering field preferred
