Senior Director of Quality Assurance

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Defines framework for department objectives, operation schedule, processes and budgets. • Use detailed knowledge of quality management systems and quality assurance procedures to develop actions plans for production and process control best practices. • Champion QA and QC practices throughout the enterprise • Work with manufacturers to develop and maintain federally compliant operations. • Responsible for adherence to product specifications that have been established to ensure product quality and satisfy GMP regulations. • Provide guidance to foreign operations on quality assurance processes and required deliverables. • Assist in the resolution of quality, regulatory and customs issues. • Advise business units on new or emerging quality issues. • Consult with business units on quality impact of new business strategies. • Present and report QA strategies, efforts and results at National Sales Meetings and other company functions as required. • Perform evaluations of new and existing manufacturing partners. • Develop Quality Management System (QMS) documentation. • Assist manufacturing, sourcing, supplier management, product development, operations, regulatory compliance representatives to identify and remedy product performance challenges. • Periodically reviews the suitability and effectiveness of the quality system with executive management.

PREFERRED OFFICE/MACHINE EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE:

Common business related computer hardware (e.g., PC, laptop, fax) and software (e.g., Microsoft word processing, database, and spreadsheet software).
