Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Required Functional Expertise:

* 3 years SQA; specifically manual testing IT/MIS type applications featuring portals, data warehousing, web or client/server applications. * Able to conduct code reviews in Web development language. * Performance monitoring, measurement and tuning of GUI database applications, web-based applications, applets and servlets * Familiar with structured testing techniques and methodologies (e.g. Beizer, Gelperin and Kaner) * Experience with back-end, front-end and connectivity components of a data warehouse application. * Configuration and change management of software components and packages including defect/issue reporting and tracking * HTML (2+ years)

Desired Functional Expertise:

* Java, JavaScript or other programming languages * Possesses the appropriate level of technical/functional expertise and knowledge. Understands and applies procedures, regulations, and policies related to areas of specialized expertise. * Utilizes technology-based tools and processes. * Continuous learning and development * Customer service orientation * Results oriented * Ability to overcome challenging problems * Good communication skills

Minimum Level of Education:

* BS in Computer Science

Type of Experience and Minimum Number of Years:

* minimum of 6 years of experience to include 2+ years of experience leading the test case design and 2+ years in design for testability
