Software QA Manager

POSITION DESCRIPTION The Software Test Manager is tasked with the overall responsibility for staffing the test efforts for multiple projects and is ultimately responsible for the success of those efforts. It is expected that the Test Manager will direct test personnel working on-site and off-shore (3rd party). The Test manager advocates quality and test initiatives, resource planning and management, and resolution of issues that impede the test effort.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS The successful candidate will possess the following skills/knowledge: * 6-8 years experience in QA management role within a UNIX environment * Knowledge of all aspects of the software engineering process * Firm grasp and thorough understanding of a wide range of testing techniques, types, efforts, and tools. * Planning and management skills * Ability to lead and motivate local and global team * Develops strong working relationship with development partners as well as project and business leaders. * Outstanding customer communication skills * Experience in outsourcing vendor relationships for Software Test engagements and managing SOWs for engagements * Healthcare Information Systems experience a plus * Professional software testing certifications highly desirable

EDUCATION * 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
