Software Test Engineer

Description

* Perform black-box functional testing of software releases for the various platforms, including software intended for customers, manufacturing tools, and internal development releases. * Investigate, report, document, and track defects following Software Test Group procedures. * Maintain and update the Test Track Database. * Create and execute manual test case suites. * Design test case suites for automation. * Generate test documents, and review test documents generated by other members of the Software Test Group. * Assist Software Development in troubleshooting and debugging software releases. * Participate in our next-generation software development activities (new hardware, “skunkworks” projects, etc.). * Use input from customers, Marketing, Manufacturing, Tech Support, and your own ingenuity to help us make better products for our customers. * BSEE, BSc or equivalent, industry experience is a plus. * Good documentation skills * Competence with Windows-based operating systems * Good problem-solving skills * Ability to work effectively in a team environment
