Software Test Engineer

Description:

The software test engineer will generate test plans and procedures, and execute tests to verify the implementation of customer requirements. Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols is required and the candidate should have experience with configuring computers with various versions of Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems. Ability to configure open source software and emulation software such as VMWare is desirable.

Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, TCL, Python is desirable. This position requires moderate use and application of test engineering technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Candidate will provide creative testing solutions to a wide range of software applications and be capable of understanding a wide range of solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. BS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field is required, with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance is required. Basic Qualifications: BS CS, EE, CE or related field, minimum two years experience with above essential skills .

Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met. 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters Relocation Assistance Available. Security Clearance Required.
