Performance SQA Engineer
Position Requirements:
A Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
4-6 years of performance and scalability testing experience
Having software product development experience is preferable
Expert troubleshooting and reasoning skills
Having understanding of 3-tier architecture is must
Expert knowledge of database performance diagnostics and tuning, especially for Oracle and/or MS SQLserver, Running and analyzing AWR reports
Experience on Silk performer is must
Experience on Profiling tool like Yourkit will be an added advantage
Knowledge of perfmon tool is must
Experience with J2EE platforms and diagnosing related performance issues.
Experienced with common programming and scripting languages, including Java and Perl
Expert ability to analyze / interpret technical data
Expert ability to identify / resolve system bottlenecks
Expert ability to identify potential limitations in software architectures
Good understanding of throughput, latency, memory and CPU utilization
Working knowledge of operating system (Windows, Linux, Solaris ) design / tuning
Analyze requirements specifications and identify specific performance & scalability test points within the software.
Execute detailed benchmarks and performance tests to cover performance and scalability under load.
Generate/assemble test datasets to support performance testing.
Using the software tools available, automate load/stress testing activities
Interact with software developers to tune code and track all problem reports to closure.
Demonstrated ability to successfully plan and execute effective end to end product testing, on time.
