Test Engineer

This position requires a candidate with strong white box test engineering experience preferably with a background testing in a distributed and multi-tiered IP networks environment. The candidate must have an extensive background in white box testing and work in a structured and methodical manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of the test engineering team, you will be responsible for performing component and system testing for the EpiForce enterprise security solution. This position requires a candidate to participate in many test engineering activities including test plan development, test-bed design/maintenance, test case execution and automation of regression test suites.

* Assist in the development of software test processes, test plans, and test procedures for automated tests. * Creates test cases to validate design and runs them during integration testing. * Defines and configures test platforms, systems, and supporting tools. * Executes white box tests while tracking progress, documenting results, and diagnosing issues identified * Participates in design and code reviews. * Anticipates and identifies future test tools and needs, initiating appropriate steps to satisfy those needs.

Educational Requirements

* Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field is required

Previous Work Experience

* 2-5 years experience in software development and software test automation. * Strong foundation in software/programming with development experience in C, Java for Windows/Linux/Unix operating systems. * Strong operating system knowledge. * Experience with IPSec or VPN a major plus * Knowledge of socket programming (TCP/IP or NAT) is preferred. * Knowledge of SQL and DBMS (Oracle, or MySQL) is preferred. * Shell scripting (Linux/Unix) experience a major plus.
