Quality Assurance Application Specialist Responsibilities: Function This position is responsible for creating and executing test scenarios that ensure product stability and compliance with product enhancements and defects, which ensure the integrity of the GMI Software package. The Quality Assurance Specialist in Testing and Support is primarily responsible for the following areas:

• Develop and execute test plans for software testing in accordance with the SDLC process. • Maintain an ongoing defect tracking log of all expected differences found within QA testing. • Maintain an ongoing log of all retesting scenarios within individual issue logs and formulate suggestions for trends that are being identified. • Utilize TestBench to maintain testing environments on the AS/400 system. This includes restoring libraries as needed, monitoring system status and capacity, preparing environments for testing by entering trades or performing other set-ups. • Work with QA Manager to coordinate client notification of various testing, installation, or software upgrade issues in a timely manner. • Assist with the testing and distribution of the annual GMI software release. • Participate in high-level customer support of annual software release to resolve client issues. • Participate in various Quality Assurance projects as needed. • Assist other members of Quality Assurance as needed. Responsibilities Technical Demonstrate proficiency in all technical responsibilities of Quality Assurance Specialist. Use GMI utilities to assist in ongoing Quality Assurance testing (e.g. file compare programs for specific files). Use AS/400 commands to perform job functions (e.g. RSTOBJ, SAVOBJ, DSPTAP, INZTAP, STRSQL, STRDFU). Use knowledge of CL and RPGLE to perform light programming projects / debugging. Complete technical training courses as assigned.

Requirements: Show aptitude for acquiring technical skills. Attendance in Bootcamp training program, or equivalent industry or application background. 1 - 3 years of QA testing background. 1 - 3 years of Industry and GMI knowledge. Display good communication and organizational skills. Exhibit adequate writing skills and proficiency in word processing. Demonstrate a willingness to aggressively pursue knowledge acquisition.
