Software Testing Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

Candidate will be responsible for the functional testing of highly scalable client/server applications for Blackberry wireless handheld devices. Candidate should have strong testing and troubleshooting abilities coupled with a strong desire to learn new technology in an ever changing environment. Candidate will work closely with multiple teams in the development organization to understand the scope of new features, develop test plans for those features, and then execute test scripts within a pre-defined schedules using rapid development and software testing methodologies. Some experience writing Java or Perl based software applications a plus.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* Computer Science Degree or related discipline. * Excellent understanding of how to use "best practice" testing methodologies. * Experience in the usage of Test Director or Mercury Quality Center. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Experience with wireless email protocols. * Expereince with wireless communications protocols such as GPRS. * Experience with Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) required. * Strong understanding of performance and load testing. * Ability to use SQL. * Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced software development environment. * Demonstrated ability and desire to design and develop automated test tools.
