Key Responsibilities
• Edit, write, or rewrite information to communicate clearly and effectively to a wide range of internal and external audiences
• Interpret and administer standards, policies, and procedures
• Advise writers in matters of standards, style, syntax, grammar, and usage to improve the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of communications
• Exercise quality control over deliverables intended for distribution
• Develop proficiency in Word, Acrobat, HTML, and Windows applications
• Know, understand, and adhere to review, editing, and production standards and processes
• Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of department standards and processes
• Ensure courseware meets functional specifications
Position Requirements
• Ideally 1 to 4 years experience in eLearning design, development, and quality assurance
• Demonstrate a high-level of production skills including ability to produce clean, well-organized deliverables and adheres faithfully to a style guide
• Demonstrate a high level of editing ability including clear, concise, well-structured writing and an ability to enforce a style guide; avoids the use of jargon
• Proficient in using Word, Acrobat, HTML, and MS Office applications
• Proactive and flexible in contingency planning and demonstrates ability to prioritize
• Demonstrates an ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects to completion
• Knowledge of SCORM standards a plus
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, English, Journalism, or Technical Writing, or equivalent professional and/or academic training.
