Software Quality Engineer
Position Responsibilities:
This highly technical and largely unsupervised systems software engineer position is responsible for designing and executing system and functional test plans for network management software verification, network access control (NAC) products, developing and maintaining a QA web site, and mentoring less experienced engineers in network access control functions and services. The position calls for once-monthly off-hour and weekend availability.
Requirements:
* Minimum education required is a Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems, MIS, Computer Science, or other similarly relevant major.
* Minimum experience required is at least six (6) years testing and verifying network management and network security software applications, designing, developing and maintaining Quality Assurance web server applications, at least three (3) years of which specifically involved all phases of network access control (NAC) system testing and verification.
* Specifically required is the demonstrated ability to design and configure RIPv1/v2, OSPF, BGP and VRRP Layer 3 networking protocols.
* Also required is the demonstrated ability to design and configure complex network configurations incorporating VLANs, QoS, and 802.1x, Layer 2 network protocols.
* Additionally required is the demonstrated ability to configure and administer Windows Active Directory, IAS (RADIUS), IIS, and DHCP services, together with implementing MAC Authentication, and RFC 3580 VLAN networking protocols.
* Further required is the demonstrated ability to install, configure and perform system administration duties of Windows, Linux and Solaris operating systems.
* Finally required is the demonstrated ability to develop and maintain web applications using PERL, CGI, html and Java script languages.
