QA Analyst

Overview: The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst reports to the Operations Director and is responsible for QA of new products, product features, and websites prior to launch.

Responsibilities: QA of Website Launches - Develop a generic test plan that will be used for testing of each new website prior to launch, incorporating customer's unique requirements and standard aspects of each site - Coordinate with Production team to schedule QA for each new website launch - Execute the test plan as scheduled and report results to Production team.

QA of Major Custom Work - Develop a test plan for each major custom work project that requires a separate QA. - Execute the test plan and report results to Production team.

QA of New Product Releases - Prior to release of a new product (internal or external), work with the product manager and Development QA Engineer to review use cases and develop an end-user test plan - Test all aspects of the product using a black box testing approach (or similar methodology) and report results to R&D team - Validate use cases have been implemented - Validate product documentation and provide feedback or help to revise the documentation

QA of Product Updates - Prior to each product release, coordinate with Development QA Engineer to develop a test plan based on the changes being made, as well as regression testing of critical functionality - Execute the test plan using a black box testing approach (or similar methodology) and report results to R&D team - Validate product documentation and provide feedback on necessary changes to reflect product updates

Special Projects - Perform projects as assigned.

Qualifications: The Quality Assurance Analyst is expected to have relentless attention to detail and a high-level understanding of the use and value of all products that are being tested.

An understanding of the high level architecture of web-based applications is necessary to ensure issues are properly documented and sent to the appropriate team for resolution. 1-2 years of prior QA experience in a software or Web application environment is preferred.
