QA Software Developer
This position involves creating and maintaining applications for the QA department within a Microsoft development environment. Examples of the areas tested are the following:
* Integrated applications
* Transaction processing infrastructure
* Financial applications
* Batch File applications
* Other internal tools and processes
Requirements
Overall requirements:
* This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with developers & systems operations to extract the essentials of information to see the big picture of the system and how the parts work together.
* The ability to ascertain or discover areas of greatest risk is essential.
* Experience providing quality software design mentorship and guidance to software engineers.
* The ability to lead the selection and implementation of automated SQA and load/performance testing tools, including automated black-box and white-box testing
* The candidate should be prepared to evaluate the current development process and make recommendations about how to improve it.
* It also requires the ability to deal with details so that the candidate can build tools that will aid in testing, especially for regression testing and other repetitive testing tasks such as testing new payers per a checklist.
* The candidate will work with other QA staff and the QA Director in choosing software for automated testing as well as load and stress testing in a Microsoft environment.
* The candidate will also work with senior development managers to facilitate the creation of tests for unit testing so that the developers can code to the test.
* The candidate must be able to deal diplomatically with a variety of staff, determine and communicate priorities, and provide practical recommendations for improvement of the software development life cycle within a team environment.
* The ability to work in a team as well as on one’s own are both essential.
* This position will require the developer to maintain current applications and make enhancements where needed. In making enhancements, considerations will be made in upgrading to .Net or remaining in legacy code bases.
* Intimate knowledge of the HIPAA standards is necessary.

Experience in the following is highly desired:
* White-box testing experience
* Testing applications, such as the Mercury products.
* Unit-testing such as Nunit unit-testing framework for .Net languages.
* SDLC experience within an agile environment.
* Healthcare transactions and HIS systems.
