QA Analyst
- Report to QA Manager.
- Working knowledge in all areas of QA testing (performance, functionality, negative, stress testing, GUI testing).
- Ability to write clear and concise bug defect reports. Must follow through on bug defect reports for closure.
- Ability to write and execute complicated test scripts, automated and manual.
- WinRunner knowledge is a plus.
- Contribute as a team member throughout the QA cycle, with the ability to communicate effectively across all departments
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Perform software testing using test plans, procedures and automated testing techniques.
- Good discipline when documenting own work.
- Edit and update user documentation.
- 3 to 6 Years' experience as QA Engineer.

Description of Duties & Responsibilities:
§ Provide error tracking to business teams and management
§ Must have a strong knowledge and skill in at least 2 of the following: TSL, SQL, WinRunner, or QTP.
§ Act as a strong advocate for quality in the product development process.
§ Ability to prioritize along critical path and meet project milestones and deliverable dates
§ Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
§ Ability to make quick decisions under stressful conditions.
§ Tracking and participating of projects from its approval to customer satisfaction that could include:
§ Participation during the design phase
§ Coordinate training and skills development efforts for QA teams
§ Able to work under tight deadlines and some weekends and late evening hours when needed to complete important projects date.
§ Prepare Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Labs and supervise execution
§ Participates in bug review meetings for assigned projects.
§ Must have the Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
§ Working closely with Product Management in developing the requirements and specifications of new features and functionality
§ Evaluate and recommend new technologies.
§ Takes initiative to ensure that a project gets completed on schedule.
§ Adhere to company and departmental policies and procedures.
§ Ability to expand job responsibilities, suggests improvements, and collaborates with others to generate ideas and improve processes.
§ Leads and oversees the testing of multiple projects, creating test plans, procedures and test cases as well as helping with the scheduling and estimation of testing efforts.
§ Develop, adhere and audit QA practices, methodologies and quality control standards
§ Mentor team members in QA processes including the creation of test plans, test scripts, issue tracking, and readiness assessments
§ Mentor team members in the processes for performing effective Functional, System, Integration, Regression, and Performance testing
§ Identify and procure appropriate tools and technology that support QA and Documentation process requirements
§ Adequately plans and prepares for the arriving of incoming projects to limit the time spent during the Quality Assurance Phase.
§ Provides guidance/supervision and reviews for junior members on staff.
§ Analyze current tests/scripts and test environment and then produces or makes necessary changes to adequately handle the new functionality added to the applications.
§ Perform follow up surveys to operating companies to determine the success of the projects installed and report back the findings to the business process teams and management.
§ Prepares estimates based on programming specifications and effectively communicates deadlines.
§ Responds promptly to urgent testing requests and informs management of problem areas.
§ Provides alternative solutions and objectively evaluate each to arrive at the best solution.
§ Interacts with all groups within Information Services to ensure that project objectives are met.
§ Prepares clearly written memos and documentation.
§ Seeks ways to improve contribution and increase level of responsibility of self and others.
§ Initiates and tracks issues to completion.
§ Informs management and anticipates budget variances on a timely basis.
§ Resolves team conflicts with minimal assistance from management.
§ Encourages team members with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
§ Effectively presents information to others in one-on-one and small group situations.
§ Plans, organizes and controls multiple responsibilities and resources.
§ Effectively delegates work to the appropriate individuals in light of capabilities and workload.
§ Attempts in a timely manner to resolve first and then communicate to their immediate lead any issues that may hinder the completion of a deadline.
§ Maintains a positive attitude.
§ Monitors status and provides appropriate status reports.
§ Records time into record keeping system accurately and timely.
§ Responds to emails and voicemails in a timely manner.
