Software Test Specialist

Background: Dynamic individuals with superb technical and communication skills needed to work on leading-edge software development projects by performing end-user testing during the development process.

Responsibilities:

* Evaluate, test and troubleshoot TechSmith software products using black box testing methods during rapid and concurrent release cycles * Assume ownership of features and test assignments, delivering high quality results that balance time constraints and high product quality standards * Collaborate closely with software Developers on Agile product teams * Track and analyze issues collected in the bug tracking system * Assist in on-going development of quality standards * Be a standard-bearer for quality in all facets of TechSmith products

Required Skills and Background:

* Bachelors degree, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience * Extensive Windows OS knowledge expected * Self-motivated and passionate about quality and software excellence * Outstanding judgment, problem solving, initiative and communication skills

Preferred Skills and Background:

* Experience using automated software testing tools a plus * Working knowledge of multimedia concepts: audio, video, streaming, codecs, performance factors and issues, etc. a plus * Mac OS experience a plus * Knowledge/experience with Agile methodologies a plus * Web testing experience a plus
