QA/Test Lead
Main Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall Test Strategy and Quality Management Plan for the systems and applications within one of the major Business Solution Areas.
Assist with the development of Quality Assurance and Software Test Standards, Processes, Procedures, Methodologies, and Practices to support the overall QA Organization as well as the Business Solution Application.
Responsible for all System Integration, System Performance and Stress, and Regression Testing for that area.
Responsible for developing the Test Approaches which define the detailed test plans for all project implementations within a major release.
Lead the definition of the testing strategy and test resource plan for all phase of testing.
Review and sign-off on the Project Scopes and technical requirements for testing.
Lead technical team leads in developing the test scenarios and test cases based on business processes, system use cases, and functional requirements.
Lead and coordinate all test execution activities with that Business Solution Application.
Lead daily test meetings during test cycles.
Review test cases and results with the team as required.
Coordinates Performance Testing, and securing the appropriate resources from the Performance Test Team and Infrastructure/Basis Teams to design, conduct, and analyze the performance tests and results.
Coordinate all test and quality metrics for the area.
Provide on-going test and quality management reporting.
Oversee all test staff and activities for the assigned application area.
Ensure that all Quality and Test Standards are being met.
Schedule resources to accomplish testing.
Time Team Reporting.
Lead Risk Analysis efforts.
Provide Test Process Training to the project and test staff as required.
Serve as the escalation point for issues involving quality process and system testing.
Oversee decisions about testing schedules and schedule changes.
Ensure that all aspects of testing such as manual execution, and automated regression and performance testing are properly completed.
Provides weekly test status to the Program Managers and QA Manger.
Develop Corrective and Preventative Action Plans for major deficiencies in the QA/Test Program; and Process Improvement Plans to the Quality System.
Ensure Quality Records are generated and maintained by the development and test teams for that area.
Provide feedback regarding team members by participating in annual performance reviews.
Participate in post-project reviews with team members and clients.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
8+ Years of work experience.
8+ Years experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products and MS Project.
2-5 Years hands on experience in Mercury Quality Center, WinRunner or Quick Test Pro.
12 Years of experience working with Mercury Loadrunner, performance test modeling and testing.
2-5 Years as a Test Lead for large enterprise applications.
2-5 Years experience in scripting languages.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Information Management, or Computer Engineering preferred.
Knowledge of use case methodology and the iterative development process is preferred.
Leadership skills including creativity, team building, and negotiation techniques.
Great communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of structure test approaches and how they are applied to the Software Development Life Cycle.
