QA Development Engineer

Job Responsibilities

The individual in this position will join the Quality Assurance team in maintaining its commitment to providing the highest quality mainframe integration platform available.

In this role, the qualified candidate will have the opportunity to demonstrate their excellent Java coding skills, as well as their ability to envision user scenarios, as they design and develop a test framework and suite of tests for DataDirect’s Shadow mainframe integration server. The tests will drive the Shadow server primarily through Web Services with additional tests utilizing the ODBC and JDBC APIs.

In addition to their Java Programming stills the successful candidate will possess excellent organizational and communications skills. The candidate will be able to work independently and attention to detail is a must.

Experience with one or more of the following are a plus:

- Web Services programming - Database access - Mainframe development, application or administration - Eclipse Development IDE - COBOL programming - Database access experience
