QA Analyst

Primary Duties

1. Design and create test plans and cases at a system level.

2. Design and create scripts to automate the testing process.

3. Install, configure and administer operating systems, database servers and web servers in the test server environment.

4. Report software defects in a clear and concise manner.

Skills and Knowledge

· Experience with development lifecycle of large software projects, especially usability studies, beta testing, and quality assurance.

· Experience with programming/scripting languages especially Java, C/C++.

· Experience with traditional QA methods such as white/black box, performance, regression and acceptance testing.

· Knowledge of various operating systems (Win2000/XP/2003, Linux, Unix).

· Ability to work efficiently and estimate tasks within the confines of a project schedule.

· Experience with query languages and relational databases (MSSQL and Oracle).

· Two or more years of experience in a quality assurance role, or equivalent related experience within a software development team.

Academic

· University degree in a technical discipline (CS, math, engineering, science), or College diploma/certificate in software engineering or computer science.
