Advisory QA Software Analyst

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Feature Review – review and provide feedback on feature specifications as assigned. * Test Planning & Execution – write, maintain, and execute test plans as assigned; investigate, log, track, and retest incidents. * Test Automation – write and maintain test automation that ensures thorough feature and/or product testing. * QA Leadership – Participate in the creation of Master Test Plans and testing estimations; displays understanding of how job relates to others; may lead small teams of testers.

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. * 6+ years of direct experience in software quality assurance, software testing. * Strong working knowledge of Windows and/or UNIX operating systems. Ability to install, configure, and maintain said operating systems. * Extremely strong communication skills required both with local and remote team members. * Proficiency with an object oriented programming language like Java or C# and various scripting languages. * Experience with writing test automation using tools such as such as nUnit or jUnit is considered an asset. * Strong analytical and problem solving skills. * Ability to work independently and in a team environment. * Must be detail-oriented and thorough. * Geographic Information Systems (GIS), particularly the our suite of products would be advantageous although not essential. * Proficiency with relational database systems, such as SQL Server or Oracle. * Experience with J2EE compatible application servers (WebLogic, WebSphere) would be considered an asset.
