Systems Integration & Test Engineer

Responsibilities The candidate will work with other team members under the guidance of a senior test and integration engineer in the evaluation of components and subsystems comprised of HW and SW elements, breadboards, and brassboards to ensure their readiness for higher (next-level) system-level integration and test. Following the successful assembly and integration of constituent design elements, performance validation (tests, analyses, demonstrations) will be planned and executed to established schedules and budgets. Key job elements include the development of problem identification and resolution, risk mitigation evaluations, and the identification of equipment/testing required to demonstrate system requirements and specifications have been satisfied. Plans, procedures and reports of results will be generated. The ideal candidate will have course work in analog and digital electronics design and simulation, physics and mechanics, analysis and data processing, and a desire to apply this knowledge to develop innovative test methodologies to assess system performance. Educational experience in any of the following areas would be a plus: Digital signal processing, linear systems, control theory, analog/digital electronics, data modeling and analysis, optics, electromagnetics, and probability and statistics. Qualifications BS EE/ME/Physics/AA. The ability to cooperatively work as a member of a team in a technically challenging environment is required. The ideal candidate will be self motivated, want to work difficult problems, and has a strong desire to develop a sound foundation of multidisciplinary engineering skills. Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, SPICE, Cadence or other similar modeling tools is a plus. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
