Software QA Engineer This Quality engineering position will contribute to the implementation of multi-tier distributed software applications focused on the API platform. The position will support the QA activities around the definition, implementation, testing and post-production support for the s platform project. Must be able to work independently to test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex changes. The individual must be proficient in Junit, code coverage concepts. The individual must possess good XML, JAVA, and DB skills. Knowledge in all aspects of testing required: test planning, XML, JAVA and JYTHON test case creation, test data preparation, test execution and test status reporting. Must be able to make effective use of automation test systems available to ensure that the regression suite for the platform consists of high quality test cases. Be able to work with large datasets and create a good mix of positive, negative, edge test cases. Be able to drive appropriate Load & Performance (L&P) testing with the L&P team as and when required. Job Requirements The duties will include developing test plans test cases & test tools, and working with the development and other QA teams to ensure standard QA processes are followed including usage of Test Case management systems.

An individual with a development background interested in broadening experience into testing will be highly desirable.

Job Requirements include: Leading the effort and defining the platform testing approach and needs. Creating test plans and test cases for new assigned features, developing test tools for white-box testing. Executing planned testing tasks and providing timely and accurate analysis of findings. Keeping management informed of progress. Communicating effectively with developers, operations, release management, and QA peers. Proactively solving problems. Education Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
