QA Engineer

Sr. QA Engineer Summary: With minimum supervision performs testing tasks requiring planning, scheduling, and testing to assure that developed products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards. Communicates with product developers and technical support specialists on product issues. Provide assistance to Technical Support and Sales Engineering teams. Qualification Requirements: Education: Bachelors in Computer or Engineering field or equivalent Experience: 6+ years experience in networking working within a customer support, test engineering or quality assurance group. Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance. Skills: • Demonstrated skills in trouble shooting sophisticated networking as well as software issues • Strong knowledge of networking and applications. Including advance understanding of switching and routing protocols. Ability to configure enterprise level networks including Active Directory and Certificate Authority servers. • Prior experience with software applications written in C and C++. • Prior experience with the following operating systems Window XP, 2000, Vista, 2003 Server, Unix: Solaris, Linux: Redhat ES, Fedora Core • Good knowledge of Java and web-based applications
