Test Engineer
This individual will assist in the testing and integration of products that save lives through air traffic control on airport surfaces.
Activities include:
* Conduct and support lab and field system integration
* Develop test approaches and write system/SW/HW test procedures for internal problem reports
* Create test scenarios using various simulators
* Conduct engineering dry runs, internal QA dry runs, and formal testing in the lab
* Perform data analysis, prepare test briefings, and write test reports
* Assist in hardware and software troubleshooting
* Generate and investigate problem reports
Qualifications:
Education Required:
Bachelor of Science Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering degree program. Entry level to 2 years experience as a test engineer.
Required skills:
* Comfortable in a test lab environment
* Adept at operating and integrating a variety of electronic test gear, including oscilloscopes, power meters, waveform generators, etc., in RF and digital test applications.
* Familiar with software/hardware communication interface
* Knowledge of DOD/FAA Test process.
* Experience with software, hardware, and system test methodologies
* Experience with software, hardware, and system integration activities
* Familiarity with Microsoft tools and Microsoft Windows (95, 98, NT, 2000)
* Understanding of the use of configuration management, requirement management systems, and automatic testing tools.
Desired Skills:
* Familiarity with SUN Solaris, Unix, Linux, VxWorks and real-time operating systems
* Familiarity with TCP/IP networking and protocols
* Exposure to MATLAB, DOORS, Razor, and XStream
* Knowledge of Surface Movement Radar
* Ability to write test software in embedded and Windows-based environments, particularly Labview and C/C++.
