CPD QA Senior Engineer
We are seeking senior QA Engineer (SSE) with a strong understanding of the Management tools in Client/Server environment for Windows/UNIX/LINUX operating system.
Roles and Responsibilities:
QA lead for VC patch/maintenance releases
Responsible for deriving the Test plans and defining test strategies
Create and enhance the test coverage of product features
Responsible for end-to-end testing of the entire product/components
Drive the functional, integration testing, system testing for the product
Develops innovative ideas and solutions for testing products
Drive process improvement within the group
Reproduce and test complex customer/field escalations
Setup complex test environments for validating customer bugs
Provide technical leadership to the test group
Work with product managers, program managers, peers located locally and overseas
Analyze bug reports and collect metrics
Requirements
7+ years experience as a QA Engineer with atleast 1 yr managing small projects; should have a good understanding of QA concepts and Software Engineering process.
3+ yrs of experience in Client server testing, GUI testing and manual testing is a MUST.
Experience in Integration and system testing is a MUST.
Broad experience testing 3 tier architecture products with good UI exposure in Windows Clients, Web Client environment is a MUST.
Linux/Unix/Windows Systems administration experience is a MUST.
Ability to troubleshoot software/hardware issues is a MUST.
Experience in SQL/Oracle database testing is preferred.
Experience in API testing (Java/Python) is preferred.
Install/Configure test environment especially in Client/Server environment using Host management tools.
Sound knowledge of Programming scripts in Perl/Shell is preferred.
Knowledge of SilkTest automation tool & execution knowledge is preferred.
Knowledge of storage (SAN etc) & Basic networking would be preferred.
Exposure to Internationalization (i18N) & Localization (l10N) testing is preferred.
Knowledge of Java/C/C++ is preferred.
Strong team player and customer interaction skills
Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple outstanding tasks
Must have excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Engineers with Computing degree Bachelors or MCA will be considered
