Quality Assurance Engineer
Works with Product Management and Development team to understand requirements. Creates test plans and manages test cases. Develops and maintains automation framework using Silk Test. Executes Basic Qualification and production test cases on new builds.
Requirements: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related. 2 years of experience in the occupation or in Software Development Engineering. Employer will accept pre-or post- degree experience. All experience can be concurrent. Employer will accept a Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related and 5 years of post-degree progressive experience in the occupation or in Software Development Engineering in lieu of a Master's and 2 years of experience.
Experience to include:
Testing products that use client/server software architecture models;
System level testing including different network topologies;
2 years of software testing experience in Microsoft, JAVA (Java, ASP, .Net, C, C++);
1 year of software testing experience in Networking and Unix technologies;
Windows development environments;
Test tools for automation testing, defect tracking and test management;
Development of automation scripts and programs using SilkTest and Java;
Object oriented development and design principles to complete test scripts and tools;
Execution and reporting of results from automated scripts and programs on regular schedules.
