QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST

Primary Responsibilities • Responsible for testing software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. • Analyzes test results and translates results to requirements. • Documents and works to resolve problems. • Reports problem resolution to management. • Performs workflow analysis and recommends quality improvements. • Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible configurations. • Performs software quality assessments. • Creates and maintains automated test scripts. • Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. • Validates testing by creating database queries and viewing the database. • Develops tests cases, test scripts and test scenarios for Polk software products. • Performs functional, system application, regression and performance tests. • Participates in integration, user acceptance, and parallel testing. Secondary Responsibilities • Performs other duties as requested by management Relationships/Contacts Works with infrastructure, sales and application development teams. Communicates with managers and customers. Leadership/Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not supervise anyone. Minimum Qualifications

combination of education and experience. • Knowledge of mainframe and open system platforms. • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent problem solving skills. • Understands software quality standards and methodologies. • Excellent testing skills. • Ability to accurately estimate task durations and meet schedules. • Knowledge of Capability Maturity Model (CMM) standards a plus. • Must be able to work with automated testing tools such as Mercury’s Test Suite including Test Director and Quick Test Pro, Compuwares QA Center and other testing tools. • Knowledge of other quality tools such as Rational Tool Suite and Winrunner desired. • Ability and willingness to work as part of a team. Other Requirements Some after-hours and weekend work is expected, depending on workload.
