Imaging Support and Test Engineer

Responsibilities:

* The ideal candidate would work closely with the imaging research engineers to support them in the image algorithm testing operations, including API level unit testing, robustness testing and regression testing. * Design and implement detailed testing plans for various image processing algorithms. * Use and extend our internal systems and tools to help our team test and evaluate imaging algorithms more efficiently. * Perform API level unit-testing (implement unit-test that exercise and thoroughly test the public APIs of imaging libraries). * Create documentation for all the phases of the testing process. * Manage and organize an internal testing image database. * Design and implement testing plans for application level testing (desktop applications and web-based applications). * Write sample code and client applications/libraries that help people get started using our products.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical degree. * Previous experience working as a test engineer. * Good analytical aptitude and excellent attention to detail. * Familiarity with image manipulations and image formats. * Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate technical issues/concepts clearly and effectively. * Proficiency in one or more of the following scripting languages: Python, Ruby, Javascript and Perl. * C programming experience.

Additional Qualifications:

* Familiarity with Linux/Unix, Windows and Mac. * Imaging experience and good photography knowledge (ISO, white balance, shutter/aperture priority, depth of field). * Experience with Wikis.
