Quality Systems Engineer
· The successful candidate will implement and sustain our Quality Management System (QMS) into a newly acquired organization.
· This activity will include ISO and CMMI (level 2 and 3) certification.
· Additional responsibilities include:
o Establish and manage and internal audit program.
o Develop software quality assurance.
o Assist QA director in a continuous improvement program.
o Provide competent and timely advice to senior management regarding quality control.
o Serve as a focal point for technical communication on quality assurance.
o Serve as the principal technical resource to engineering, program management, regulatory agencies, customers and manufacturing staff on quality assurance processes and procedures.
o Mentor junior level product and process quality engineers.
o Observe all laws, regulations regarding the conduct of business on behalf of the Company.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or related technical field.
· May substitute equivalent experience in the field.
· Typical experience is 10 to 15 years with a Bachelor's degree or 8 - 12 with a Master's degree.
· Extensive knowledge of QA principles and practices, manufacturing operations and industrial and regulatory standards; ISO 9001Lead Auditor is a must, ASQ, CQM, CQE, CRE, and CMMI Dev 1.2 experience is a plus.
· Able to implement operational programs.
· Additional requirements include:
o Familiarity with standard manufacturing techniques and associated manufacturing tools and facilities.
o Strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Able to work extended hours as required.
o Must be able to obtain a DOD security clearance.
