Software Developer QC Technician
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Develop test plans and procedures for hardware and software products and systems. Identify, analyze and document all programming errors (software bugs) and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specifications. Work directly with the product acceptance and performance criteria for new products. Be responsible for the analysis, reporting and communication of test results on all assigned projects. Help evaluate product and application defects reported by customers and make recommendations for their correction. Review product and system functional requirements and create test plans and test cases to ensure that overall quality is delivered. Execute manual and automated test cases and scripts. Document and validate resolution of identified defects. Assist in implementing improvements in test methods and strategies. Escalate quality concerns to management.
Requirements
* Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. 3+ years of experience as a tester. Demonstrated experience developing and executing test procedures.
* Ability to work independently within a quickly changing environment
* Strong analytical skills
* Strong attention to detail with proven verbal and written communication skills is essential
* Good tolerance of monotonous
* Precision
* Ability to see motivation in doing test with high accuracy as opposed to being active, helping people and getting things organized etc
* Ability to "think outside the box" - s/he shoulg be able to push the software to its limits and beyond to cover all possible errors
* Experience in the following techologies: .Net, C#, VB.Net, SQL Server, CRM systems, C++, Automated Testing Scripting
