Senior QA Analyst

In this position you will have overall responsibility for ensuring software product meets design specifications. Senior level incumbents will be managing tasks of a higher level of complexity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Create test plans and test cases for validating software functionality. * review software requirement documents to make sure that they are testable. * Lead a team of QA testers through the verification and validation of a software product during a software release cycle * Work with the QA Manager to capture metrics on the performance of the team during a software release cycle. * Work with software development managers, developers and systems analyst to validate functionality and report defects. * Summarize and report results of testing to developers and management. * Work with product developers and product maintenance team to execute test cases. * Senior QA Analysts will also work with the QA Manager to add/modify processes and standards as necessary. * Other duties may be assigned to support the organization and its goals.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; * Four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * We prefer candidates with a wide understanding of various software QA testing methods and theories * Understanding of (and experience with) using risk-based testing. * Previous experience with both manual and automated QA testing is helpful * Experience with bug tracking tools and/or Mercury Quality Center (Test Director) is a plus.
