Quality Assurance Engineer
The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of the product during
implementation life cycle, including development and production phases, to ensure all relevant
Standard Operating Procedures are being followed, validate the implementation against
functional specifications and all deviations documented, tracked and communicated with the
project team for proper resolution
Responsibilities include:
• Understand project requirements
• Create test plans from requirements/functional specifications.
• Set up test environments
• Co-ordinate testing with onsite and offsite resources
• Initiate defect entry and follow through resolutions
• Certify builds for release readiness for product and Customer reported issues
• Track release readiness of the product
• Assist in issue investigation, testing and interaction with the Development team
• Assist with internal and external training of the product
Required Skills:
• 3 – 5 years of experience in testing business applications
• Hands-on experience testing commercial web-based software developed in a variety of
technologies including scripting, XML and Java
• Hands-on experience in conducting functional, performance and scalability testing.
• Understanding of business processes and key issues related to web-based, n-tiered
enterprise software solutions.
• MSSQL server and DB concepts
• Excellent oral, written and analytical skills
• Self-Starter with ability to work independently.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with automated testing tools like Load runner
• Experience in using programming languages
• Experience with scripting technologies
