Quality Assurance Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY: Serve as the driving force behind DRC’s ISO registration efforts, and subsequently coordinate registration maintenance activities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive ISO 9001:2000 registration project in existing DRC facilities. Lead QMS implementation and ISO registration in new facilities as needed. Significant travel may be required. Create, modify and implement procedures as required for registration. Utilize DRC’s technical competence to drive innovative, efficient solutions to process needs. Manage DRC’s relationship with the registrar. Coordinate and lead internal audits. Arrange training of internal audit teams for all facilities. Conduct supplier audits as needed and assist purchasing with the quality side of supplier management. Assist in developing company-wide procedures and standards.

Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Quality/Engineering/ Technology/Science/Math or equivalent experience. Experience leading one or more companies to ISO 9001:2000 registration. Experience with managing outside auditors and the audit process Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and employ appropriate decision making skills with minimal to no supervisory intervention. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate throughout all levels of the company; strong negotiation and influencing skills. Strong leadership skills and experience leading cross functional teams. Proficiency with common office software applications and ability to understand the basics of technical engineering and business systems.
