Embedded SW Test Engineer

Requirements/Qualifications (Education) : 1. 5+ years software/system QA testing experience in storage embedded products is required. 2. Bachelors in Engineering in CS or ECE and/or Masters in Engineering in CS or ECE with good academic records from reputed institutes (minimum 60%-critical,the name of the college/Institute, year of passing and Branch/specialization in BE/ME should be mentioned in the resume.) 3. BSc (Computer Science) or MSc (Computer Science) or MCA from reputed institutes with very good academic records (minimum 70% or above). Job Description : • The candidate shall be primarily responsible for: o Collecting and identifying requirements for pre-silicon validation, post-silicon block and system validation test suite. o Defining the system test environment and platform pre-silicon, post-silicon block and system validation of storage media controller SoC products of LSI. o Development of test environment and test suite for pre-silicon, post-silicon block and system validation of storage controller SoC products

Skills/Expertise required:

• Candidates must have relevant experience in System validation. • Candidates must have demonstrated skills in writing test plans, test development, test automation, test execution, and reporting. • The qualified candidate must be familiar with the test/debug equipments like, SAS/SATA protocol Analyzers (Finisar, Catalyst, LeCroy, Tektronix), Tools (IO Meter, IO Basher, DriveMaster Pro, IO Zone), Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers. • Operating Systems: MS-2000, MS-NT, Unix (Linux preferred). Embedded OS knowledge is big plus. • Must be able to work with minimal supervision under time constraints. • Excellent team player and mentoring skills. • Programming: Good programming experience is necessary. Candidate should be proficient with C/C++. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • The candidate must be confident, self-sufficient, quick learner, must have strong problem solving skills and strong interest in system testing.

Strongly Desired: • Work experience with SATA, SAS. • Experience on development and debug/trace environment for ARM. • Experience on JTAG debug/Trace tools like RealView ICE. • Programming skills: C, TCL/Tk, Perl, Visual Basic, bourne-shell scripts, XML are strong pluses. • Experience with CVS or any other configuration management tool.
