Senior Software QA Engineer - Automation

Skills: Experience in QTP, WinRunner, LoadRunner, Rational tools and expertise in automating regression test suite for desktop based applications

Responsibilities:

* Prepare, execute, monitor and maintain test automation suite on both Windows and Mac platforms * Establish policies and guidelines for Test Automation * Work closely with other QA engineers and developers and ensure on-time completion of the testing * Continually work to reduce the time taken to complete testing without any loss in productivity or coverage * Contribute to the overall optimization of the test process

Appropriate candidates will have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

* A passion for building top-of-the-line software * Six or more years of software testing in a sophisticated development environment * Three or more years of hands-on experience in developing automation framework for Enterprise class applications * Experience in building test automation suite using industry standard automation tools such as Mercury WinRunner or QTP * Proficient in automation of basic acceptance tests and regression test suites * Strong understanding of Quality Assurance fundamentals, strategies and technologies * Ability to demonstrate exceptional test case writing, test execution and be proficient at writing bug reports * Enthusiastic and motivated, with effective organizational and communication skills * BSCS, BSEE or equivalent

An ideal candidate would also have one or more of the following:

* Strong grasp of major software and hardware technologies * Strong passion for video/audio technologies * Experience in handling queries from customer support team * A track record of launching quality consumer products
