Senior Software QA Engineer

Description: This person must be able to work with product management and developers to understand requirements and development issues, including attending a daily scrum call. Position duties include writing test plans and procedures from requirements, executing test procedures, and mentoring junior QA engineers.

Required skills: - At least five years of software QA experience - Experience writing comprehensive test plans and detailed test procedures from requirements specifications for functional and regression testing - Ability to mentor junior QA engineers, including writing test documentation for them to execute - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in an environment with significant telecommuting - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to escalate questions quickly when needed, and to work well under pressure both independently and with the team - Meticulous attention to detail and excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills - Extensive experience with automation tools is desired - Proven ability to manage a team (75%) and be hands on (25%)

Pluses: - Experience in testing telephony applications, especially ones on VoIP - Experience with agile test tools and methodologies - Experience with automated test tools (open source tools preferred)
